Nancy Plourde received a B.Mus. degree in piano and music
education from Oberlin Conservatory and has done graduate study at American
University in Washington D.C. as well as the University of Virginia. She has
taught piano and performed for over 35 years in Maryland, Virginia, Germany and
California and currently in San Antonio, Texas.
After establishing a computer lab in her studio in 1993, she became interested in learning programming in order to develop computer theory materials which were fun for students to use but still provided practice in essential theory skills. The result was PBJ Computer Activities. She has two grown children and one adorable grandson, and resides in San Antonio with her husband, Rene, and four music-loving cats.
