Patriotic Adventures in Music Camp (Item #BS005) $29.95

A complete planning guide with step-by-step instructions for a 4-day, 75-minutes-per-day music camp, with focus on the Circle of 5ths, creation of a studio anthem, and a studio flag.  A Patriotic Camp Recital is an optional addition.  The instructions come complete with a preparation check-off list, schedules and reproducible student materials.  This camp is intended for a maximum of 10-12 students, ages 6 and up.  Mixed ages are OK, as the older students delight in helping younger ones.  Camp activities can be adjusted according to space available, and the number, experience, and age of campers.

Prerequisite: Know the musical alphabet.

Students will. . .

·        Experience the Circle of 5ths like never before – from hearing to playing to drawing a clown circle of 5ths to making a “Human Circle of 5ths”

·        Perform Body Beat Rhythm Ensembles

·        Complete an individual camp scrapbook

·        Create a composition by adding a melody to bass patterns

·        (Optional) Prepare a patriotic solo or ensemble for the Camp Recital.

·        (Optional) Prepare a report about their patriotic recital piece or the composer.
